Animated gif gives error in captivate

Hello all

I am attempting to add an animated gif on my slide through the insert>animation menu. The gif prompts an error but it works fine outside of captivate. the file im trying to add is attached.

    You have to know how the animated GIF is created. When creating it in PS, you have to be sure that each frame is set to more than 0sec (which is the default frame time) or the GIF will not play. Looping seems to be an issue as well, but that is a recent phenomenon, worked in older versions.

    That wasn't the issue in this case. Each frame was set for 0.5 seconds and looping wasn't selected. I suspect that the original GIF was created in some odd software that created the incompatibility and by resaving it from Photoshop CC, as I did corrected the issue.

    Resaving in Photoshop worked for me

    I tried importing your animated GIF into my copy of Captivate and I also got an error message.

    I then tried loading the GIF into Photoshop and exported it using Legacy Save for Web with the preset for GIF 128 No Dither and since doing that Captivate loads it fine. I'm not sure I could explain it other than to say by exporting using another Adobe product I've ensured compatibility.
