Animated Gif in Captivate

Usually, when I insert animatedt gifs via "media" --> "Animation, it works fine. Just yesterday I had the problem, that the gif would'nt show in the preview anymore. I get the Loading-Button all the time, but the gif is not showing.

So I wanted to know, if my older projects are still working. I tried another one that I've finished yesterday and the animation worked fine. Then I tried another one from the day before and I got the error, that the animation cannot be displayed in html5.

I'm usind captivate 11.8.2 on windows

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.

Herzlich willkommen! Sorry but will continue in English because I would write too may 'typos' in German (which I understand well).

The message indicates that you have objects non compatible with HTML5 output, but an animated GIF is compatible, I use them once in a while when I don't have an OAM available immediately. At this moment I am busy writing a blog about animated GIFs and the timeline in versions which accept animated GIFs. I just double-checked in your version with a simple animated GIF created in Photoshop and I didn't get your warning.

Two possibilities: since a while not every animated GIF is accepted in Captivate projects. It is possible that your GIF is one of them. The reason for the non-compatibility warning could be caused by another object in your project. Did you check the HTML Tracker?
