Animation effect issues - end position of an animated object

Hi there,

I have some issues regarding animation effects:

1) End Position of an object

I have a slide with four images on it and an introduction audio sequence (TTS). On the next slide every image moves to a certain position (using the motion path effect). In a next step I would like to add rollover captions for each image. Later on some arrows will be added so that it will become a diagram.

The problem is that I cannot figure out the "end postion" which the objects have after the animation. This means that I am not able to add the rollover captions, and even worse, I am not able to have the objects on the same position for further construction of the diagram. Does anybody know if I can see the end position somewhere? A practical workaround would also be ok...

2) Adding ONE animation effect to multiple objects

As a workaround for at least a part of issue 1) I thought about placing the rollover caption on the image from the beginning on and let both the image and the rollover caption move to the new position. Unfortunately I didn't make it Does anybody know if there is a possibility to do this?

Thanks a lot for your help!

    Hello,

Did you show the motion path? If yes, please do not mind this answer, if no, have a look at this blog post:

Editing motion paths and reuse costumized effects

As for your second question, it is not possible to group objects into one object (please fill in a feature request if you feel like me that this would be very useful). Perhaps by reusing an effect you could try to achieve this but not easily.

    Hi Lilybiri,

thanks a lot for your answer.

I really appreciated your short demo about motion paths and reusing customized effects.

I think I will try to apply that for my issue with adding a rollover caption to an animated object. Maybe it works.
