Animations not importing from ppt

I've successfully imported animated Powerpoint slides into CP(3) in the past. But this time the animated slides appear blank, only the slide background appears. The slides without animation import as expected. I followed Adobe's advice and uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player, twice. Didn't help. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. I'm a fairly new user

Maybe you looked at this but when I import a powerpoint the import screen has two radio buttons. On my version the Animation button defaults but maybe on your the background button defaults and you are just not changing it.

Thanks JL. I am aware of the radio button and tried several times with the setting on "animation." No dice. I'm now thinking that it may be some incompatibility between my version of Powerpoint (2000) and CP 3.
