Another session is currently recording???

I'm using the trial version at home to learn the software but I have already bought the product at work. I'm getting the following message: "Another session of Adobe Captivate is currently recording. Please close the other session of Adobe Captivate before trying to record." There is no other session running that I can find. I've even re-booted my computer to try and re-set.

Before I got this message I was trying to start a new project using a microphone I had just purchased. When the mic was being tested I never could get the red box to turn green. Don't know if the mic would work or not because when I tried a project I got the message above.

Can someone please help?

    Hi Debbie

    Sounds like Captivate isn't working well with the mic. Also sounds like you were in the process of attempting to record a demonstration or simulation and also wanting to record narration at the same time. That's not best practice.

    I'd suggest you restart the PC, then try Captivate again. But this time through, don't record audio at the same time as the main recording. You can record audio separately.

    Is this by chance on a Windows 7 computer? And if so, is it 64 bit Windows 7? I ask because we have seen issues reported with audio in Windows 7 64 bit.
