Is it possible to use AppPackager instead of PhoneGap starting with Captivate version 8.01?

    No need to use App Packager. In 8.01, you can directly publish as App using your phonegap credentials.

    I face some problems with Phone Gap

    I can not create diffrent presentations with PhoneGap. Only one is allowed

    That is why I would like to use App Packager

    That's right. For more than one private app, you need to go for the paid version of PhoneGap. I just download the app to my local system and delete it from PhoneGap before publishing a new one. Not much of a hassle I felt.

    If I remember right, even for App Packager, you had to log in using PhoneGap credentials to publish your app. So, I don't think it was a better option anyway.
