why does double clicking a slide close the captivate application and loss of work as it does not save?

Does this happen with all slides in your project, or just one?

If this is not happening with any other slide, in any other project, my guess would be that there is some object on that slide (or even the slide itself) that is corrupted and causes a conflict with some other app on your system that is running at the same time, causing Captivate to crash.

So, are there any objects on that slide that might be a bit unusual? Have you tried deleting the slide and rebuilding it again, testing after adding each object?

Happens in boxes like this. these boxes show text in the filmstrip but not on the slide view? it shuts the whole captivate application not just that project. not sure if this is an issue thats causing it not to run in preview?

What kind of text objects are these?

Are they normal text captions, Smart Objects, Buttons?

Can you show the Object Type that appears at the top of the Properties tab when you select one of these objects.
