Question

Apply failure text caption to all slides at once

Hello,

I have decided that I would like to add failure text captions to all of my click boxes on over 100 slides.  I would like to copy and paste it to all slides at once, but I don't see a good way to do this.  Also, I would like the text to say "try again!", however each new failure caption has the same default text of "type failure text here".  Is there a way to apply my "try again" text quickly to all of the failure captions at once?

Thanks!

    Hi Brian

I don't think you can change the text on any of the displayed messages.

Question for you though... in the properties quiz part, do you have the option to tick a failure message to appear? as i only have incomplete or correct so i cant see how to add a failure message at all!

at the bottom of my bar i have the option to say  yes include the failure message (see below) but although it is present in the review area it wont display if the question is answered incorrectly. The screen freezes and you ahve to submit a 2nd time to move to the next slide... not helpful!

of you can help me that would be fab! thanks

You must have messed up the Quiz slides in that case. Did you delete any of the embedded objects, which are the objects that do not have an individual timeline, not in the master slide, not on the normal quiz slide?

    Hi!

I'm not sure, I may have not phrased my question exactly correctly - (I basically taught myself Captivate).  I don't have an actual quiz slide.  The quiz is really the entire captivate, and each click box is worth a point.  When the user doesn't click in the correct place, they get  a failure message.  The default failure message says "type failure message here" and I just wanted to enter "try again!" one time and apply to all click box failure messages on each of my slides.  Couldn't find a way to do it, so I ended up just adding it one at a time on each slide.
