Assessment freezes when reopened

Hello.  I have a file that I have designed as an assessment.  When the users fail it, they exit out and are able to reopen the assessment to complete it again.  When they reopen it, it gets stuck on the second slide.  I cannot figure out why.  The slide that it gets stuck on only has a button to make it move to the next slide.  The button is set at infinite attempts.  I cannot determine why it won't progress.

I attempted to use the Retake Quiz button for them to retake the assessment. But when I did, it restarted the assessment and showed me the errors I made before--exactly how it would if I had inserted the Review Quiz button.  However, if I use the Retake Quiz button, return to the assessment slide and close the file---when I reopen it, it behaves perfectly as it should.

I am stumped...
