Question

Audio does not play after movie has been published (Captivate 1)

Hi guys,

I'm using Captivate v1.01.1481.1481. I have a movie created. I recorded myself speaking in Sound Recorder as I was having problems getting Captivate to recognise my USB Logitech mic.

The file saved as .wma. I converted this to .MP3 and .WAV. I imported the WAV file as the MP3 would not import. I chose the option to split the file out between all slides. The slides play with audio perfectly when I preview each slide individually.

However, when I go to preview movie or publish the movie and then watch it, there is no audio at all.

The audio is imported to the file and I can edit the timings etc., so it is definitely there. It just does not play when the movie is published or previewed as a whole.

I would appreciate any feedback you can offer.

Thank you.

Turns out that it was Vista. I found another thread on this exact same issue.

As soon as I installed Captivate on XP and opened the .CP file it converted the audio to MP3 and played audio correctly when published.
