Audio issues on mobile learning solution app with Captivate 9

Hi,

I have published a few modules using Captivate 9 (SCORM 1.2., HTML5/SWF). They are being viewed on a mobile learning solution app. The files run fine in SCORM Cloud and the SWF runs in Brainshark just fine. However, in this mobile app, at random times, the audio doesn't work for a slide. I go to a slide and the audio doesn't play. I tap the Back arrow and then the Forward arrow on the control bar and the audio for that slide now plays correctly. And it's random - not always the same slide.

These issues weren't happening with modules published to Captivate version 7.

Any ideas/suggestions, something I can check?

Thank you for your help,

Michele

Go into each slide in your project and make sure that there is at least a small (e.g. 1/10th of a second) gap between the beginning and end of the clip on the timeline.  Your issue might be connected with the fact that without these small gaps Captivate tends to 'stitch' the audio clips together into longer ones.  For best results it's usually better to have the clips get loaded as separate files on each slide.

Hi, thanks Rod. Unfortunately that didn't do the trick. I usually do that with the audio but saw I missed a few slides. I fixed those, re-published and then re-uploaded it to the mobile learning solution but there are still audio issues.

    Any other ideas?

    Thank you

    Michele

When you re-uploaded, did you make sure to clear the browser cache on your system? If not, you might actually still be viewing an older version of the content.  To test, try changing the name of the project and uploading that as a comparison test.
