Audio not working in quiz

I have a 38-question quiz in Captivate 7 and am having an unusual problem.  If I just click next through the quiz, some questions are fine, and others don't play their audio.  However, if I answer the previous question, then the question's audio will play when returning to it.  For example, say question 8's audio won't play when clicking next and not answering question 7.  If I answer question 7, however, then question 8's audio will play. Some questions do or do not have this problem each time I publish.  Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

    Make sure there is a small gap between the beginning and end of your slide audio clip and the slide timeline.  The audio clip should NOT touch the ends of the timeline.

    Your issue can sometimes occur because Captivate is joining the audio clips together for multiple slides.  Having a small gap, even one tenth of a second in fact, can resolve the issue.

    Unfortunately, that didn't work.  However, that did give me the idea to remove the audio from the timeline completely and having it play on entering the slide.  It worked and I can now meet my deadline.
