Audio on slide and video playing at the same time

Using Captivate 2019 and I'm working on an E-learning module.  I have audio on the slide along with a video.  What I'm trying to do is not to start the audio on the video until the student clicks Play on the video.

The problem is that both audio on the slide and attached the video is playing at the same time  Is there a way to not play the video audio until the student clicks Play?

Thanks,

Carl

Unfortunately, I have to CC for the audio to stay 508 compliant.  I reinserted the video as an event videoand with Auto Play.  The video runs with the audio on the slide but stays with dots until the end of the slide.  Maybe unconventional, but it does what I need it to do.  Thanks for all the help.  Hope you have a nice holiday weekend!

Event video will do the trick in that case, with AutoPlay since you don't need a synchronisation. Viewer will be able to pause the video but that has no impact on the slide audio as I wrote before.

Can you please mention the version number, as mentioned under Help, About Captivate? There have been so many releases under the common label CP2019.

How did you insert the video: as slide video or as event video? Can you please post a screenshot of the Timeline of that slide, because your question is not at all clear to me. I suspect you use slide video, because event video never starts automatically. You have slide audio as well, does it need to be slide audio? If not, you could start the audio clip with Play Audio and pause the slide at the same time. The audio will play but the playhead will be paused at the first frame. Releasing it can be done using a Play button.
