Audio playing before entry action performed?

Hi all,

I have a few slides in the course I'm working on that have an entry action to check a variable. If the variable matches, the user is allowed to land on that page and continue, if it doesn't, the user is sent to the next slide.

The action works perfectly skipping the slide, but the problem is that a second of the audio on the "skipped" page plays when the user lands on the subsequent page. It's like the audio is playing before the advanced action has a chance to complete it's check. I'm not sure how to fix this issue. The audio is set at the slide level.

Any ideas how to fix this minor but annoying issue? Thanks!

Slide audio? Move the audio clip from the start of the slide, maybe 0,3secs.

I didn't try this, but I'm pretty sure this will work!

After adjusting slide timings over and over for days, I am going to call it good enough and just know better for next time!

    Thanks lilybiri!

It has another advantage when users watch with limited bandwidth: audio has to be loaded on entering the slide, will have a little bit more time and there is less chance that they get out of synchronisation.
