Question

Auto advance to the next slide?

Hi,

I've built a presentation (in PowerPoint), and exported through Captivate, and it looks and works great - I have a playbar at the bottom and Table of Contents down the side. It currently stops at the end of each slide as I originally planned it so the viewer could advance using the toolbar - but the client would like it to auto-advance to the next slide... is it possible?

It seems like something that would be fairly easy, but I couldn't find anything in the export settings (doesn't mean it doesn't exist, just means I am probably looking right at the forest and can't see the trees...)

Thanks in advance for any tips...

Jesse

Hello,

Rick wouldn't mind my popping in, I think.

If you have not done much editing already in CP and are willing to start again from the PPT, you could when importing PPT for the conversion also choose to have the slides 'Advance automatically' instead of 'On mouse click' which you choose before on converting.

Thanks both! I knew it was something that would be fairly easy - proof again that these forunms are invaluable! I'm a little too far in to re-import the PPT, but will consider it for next time...

Thanks again for the assisatance,

Jesse

Hi Jesse

Each slide should have a Click Box object on it. Just look at the Timeline to find it. Double-click the Click Box and configure it so it doesn't pause. Before you click OK to dismiss the dialog, ensure you enable the "Apply to all" check box in the lower left corner. You will also want to ensure you apply to all slides.

Cheers... Rick
