Hello,

i am am trying to lower the volume on background audio in CaptIvate 9. I thought I had figured out how to adjust the volume but nothing changes and it is still loud. (I was adjusting the volume and trying to normalize it to no avail). Would anyone be able to walk me through how this is meant to be done please?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Correct answer Lilybiri

Do you use the Edit tab in the Audio Dialog box? Just drag the slider down, you'll see and can listen to the new volume.

Thank you Lilybiri.

I have been going into the Edit tab, and lowering the volume to using the slider on the left.  It isn't making a difference though so I think I am missing something.  I have also tried "normalising" the volume.  Just keeps being loud!  Anything else I could be missing?

When I save it and go back it, the slider has moved back up to it's original position.  I have been told that is because it saved the lowered volume already so the slider is reset.  Is that correct?

Thank you so much for your help so far.

Ok - I have gone in and tried to make it really soft and went back and did it a second time (again it had reset as though it had saved the first change).  I then started to wonder if it was our LMS.  I re-uploaded and eventually got it to play - the sound is lower!  So happy!

Thank you - your comment reassured me I was looking in the right spot.
