Question

Background colour when project is published

Hi Captivate community, I would like to remove a white/beige background from my project when it's published, as I wanted a dark colour around my screen.

Cannot find a way to change this, even when turning the backgroung colour of my project to full black.

Any ideas on how to get rid of this annoying white bg?

    Hello Jose,

it's possible to set a customized color of this 'HTML' Background.

In order you need configure it in "playbar configuration panel".
Please find several screenshoot to show it.
    Good day.

Hi Christophe, thanks for your response.

I should have mentioned that I am using Captivate 12.5, not the Captivate Classic.

Can't really find that many details in the publish settings of version 12.

    any ideas?

    Hi Jose,

you're welcome, and thank you for this additionnal info regarding the correct ('and new) captivate version.

Actually in the settings this option does'nt seems visible.

However, with google chrome inspector it's possible to identify the area of this background in the html export file... So finally it would be possible to modifiy in the CSS.

Of course, needs somes skills in CSS to do this.

    I'll continue the research 😉

    greetings from France!

    Hi @jose_demetrio_2311

As of now, Captivate doesn't support background color changes on project publish.

But, this is an interesting idea. I'll forward this request to the product teams.

    Thank you!

Please Saurav, make this happen. It's a simple background we should be able to change colour... can't believe in the era of AI this isn't possible.
