Question

Background disappearing

I have questions/issues. The first one is I uploaded a slide to captivate with an iPad and then I uploaded a YouTube video to that slide in captivate. I changed the action to the slide to pause on enter and exit but a few seconds in to the video the whole background disappears and you see the video playing on a white background. What can I do to keep the background so it looks like the video is plying on the iPad?

Sounds like the 'slide' graphic you added has not been timed to Rest of Slide, which would explain that as the slide timeline continues it disappears from view after a few seconds.

Look at your timeline carefully and check the timing of the object that is disappearing.

    Okay:

Here’s what’s going on in my colleagues’s work document.

Let me know if you still think it’s slide view:

Your video on Loom.com doesn't show me what is happening on the timeline.  My suspicion is that your dark background graphic is only currently set up to stay on the timeline for a few seconds and it needs to be timed for Rest of Slide.

So can you please take a screenshot of the timeline of that specific slide where the background is disappearing.  The timeline view is right at the bottom of the Captivate stage area.  If you double-click the bar there it should open up the timeline view so that you can see each of the objects on the slide and see how long they are set up to appear.

It should be somewhat less complex than this example from one of my own projects.

Each of these blue bars represents one of the objects on the slide. Notice how they are mostly only present on the timeline for a short time.  This is how you control when items appear and disappear as the slide plays.
