Question

Background dissapears after 1 second

I am working in Captivate 6.0.1.240 I have imported a PowerPoint file created in PPT 2010.

After the import I added audio to each slide by recording directly to the slide

When I play the slides back in the timeline in filmstrip view the ppt image disappears after 1 second. It goes to a white background regardless of the theme used in the file. The slide stays white when the playback is paused or manually advanced.

I can see in the properties that the slide has a background of the Powerpoint file name with a .swf extension but I do not see this file in the library. the Power point is synched with the presentation. Does it need to be embedded?

I saw another post suggesting I rename the Captivate folder in the App Date folder, this did not work.

I have also tried to copy and paste the slides into a new project. This also did not work. The slides still go blank after a second.

It is making it very difficult to edit the project.

When it is published, it does not have the blanking issue.

What is happening and how can I fix it?

thanks in advance for any suggestions.

David,

I have offered a suggestion on the other thread where you asked this same question.

Rod;

Thanks for the suggestion. I couldn't remember the answer to your querstion so I reimported the powerpoint into a new CP file as high quality and am seeing the same issues.

Any other thoughts?

Nope.  There must be something in your PPT that Captivate doesn't like.
