Question

Background music fade out

I'm on the trial version trying to create a presentation to show my boss as an argument for the company getting me a Captivate license. And after looking at the available materials online, apparently there is an audio feature that allows you to fade out the background music. I have successfully added background music to my video demo. But when I try to edit the background audio, those fade features that I can see in screenshots from other users do not appear in the audio edit window in the Captivate program I'm using.

Is it possible that Adobe disables this feature for trial versions? I know some companies will cripple their demo versions to entice users to get the full fledged one. Not sure if that's happening here.

(Would sure be nice to show my boss a polished version, rather than something that comes to an abrupt halt.)

Thanks for any help.

Audio in a cpvc-file is not background audio like you can have in a cptx-file.  It is always audio linked to the video, to be compared with slide auio in a cptx file.

In a cptx file you can have background audio, slide audio, object audio and audio clips that are played with the command Play Audio. That is not the case for the screen recording Video demo which can be compared with Camtasia. You seem to spend a lot of time to create pure video, instead of interactive tutorials which is the first goal of a Captivate file.
