Backgrounds with More Than One Image

Using Cap 8 on a laptop (one display), this issue is occuring with more than one application I am recording:

After I capture a series of screens and playback screens in preview mode (and after publishing), some slides seemingly have two backgrounds; the background will switch images towards the end of the timeline, as if two seperate screen captures were combined onto one slide. These are not full-motion recordings.

The workaround is pasting an image of the desired screen over the background to hide the backgrounds "swapping." This is a big, time-wasting hassle.

Anyone else with this issue? Any possible solutions to getting hte screen caps seperated as they should be?

Seems like this starting happening in Cap 7 but has gotten worse. I don't recall the problem from the earlier versions.

Thanks in advance.

I am having the same issue and cannot record the sequence without there being an obvious break. Did anyone from Adobe provide an answer for how we can make the correct image play?

Have you modified the master slide, or indicated that you're using a custom default template?

I ran into recording issues after setting up a default template with company logos & graphic elements on the master slide, they would be included in any recording.

I was able to go to the master slide of the recording and delete them, and this may work for you.

If you have more recording to do, you may wish to create another captivate template and use it as the default while you record.

Yes, I have a number of master slides.

I would think deleting my master slides will wreak havoc with the project.

The master slide being used on the screen caps is the project background. Not sure that is a master slide per se.

In any case, behavior still seems buggy.

Sorry to pop in. The master slide which is used for capturing is the Blank

master slide. As long as you keep that one intact, it should not cause

    problems.
