Backward Compatibility Issues: Captivate 12.4 Projects Not Opening in 12.6

Anyone else struggling to open older projects (like from 12.4) after upgrading to Captivate 12.6?

Has anyone found a smoother way to handle this without losing work?
Backward compatibility really needs some attention from Adobe.
