HI,

I need to do a slide that has multiple text caps on one slide but using advanced actions to change each text cap....for example...

Have slide with image for user to click, when clicked one text caption appears and within that text caption is a smart-shape button that says "Next" when that is clicked then another text cap comes up with another button that also says next, then when that is clicked and the final text cap is reached, the button then says close. User then clicks that and returns back to the same/main slide.

Then was I was planning on doing this was using advanced actions is this the right approach? (or shared)......

Also, if done this way, will it affect scorm...?

Kind Regards

Rossco

I don't see the connection between your question and SCORM? Are those buttons scored?

If they are just buttons to show new text, not having a score for each button, I would not use that many 'Next' buttons but keep the same button and use a counter. The content of the Text Caption could be a variable for which you change the content after each click. Counter should be used to check if the Close button has to appear and the Next button hidden. This article has such a Click approach for images: Blog after Posterous? - ClickClick - Captivate blog

And as for having a variable instead of static text, for which you change the value: "Beat the system" - save time creating Advanced Actions (Captivate) - Captivate blog

No answer yet about shared or advanced actions, it depends on the version you are using, answers about the scoring and more questions.
