‌Hello! Thanks in advance for any help!

I am trying to create e-learning modules that include small pieces of animation. I would like the finished product to be pulished in a SWF file and also an HTML file for ease of use. I recently purchased Adobe CC and would like to know the shortest route to learning this process including which programs / apps I will need rather than trying to learn them all.

So far, I've got this:

Create powerpoint

Import to captivate

Add clickboxes and learning interactions

Create animation to deliver content - NOT SURE HOW TO DO THIS

Import animation to captivate - NOT SURE HOW TO DO THIS

Use talking head or puppet character to introduce lesson and to wrap up - SHOULD I USE CHARACTER ANIMATOR?

Thank you !for any help!!

Correct answer Lilybiri

I would try doing the animation in Edge Animate and import as an OAM. You

could try with effects, or with an old animated GIF.

Just one tip: do not start with ppt, because imported ppt- slides are

conver ted to video slides, you cannot edit individual objects. Start

immediately in Captivate. It is not CC but version 8.

Which kind of animations do you want? More details would help.

You can publish a normal project, not a responsive project, to both SWF and

HTML5.

‌Thanks Lilybiri!

I am only using the ppt slides as background - not using any special features. Learned that the hard way!

Yes, I have captivate 8 and I am failry well-versed at this point. The help I need is with creating files in CC and getting them in a format that captivate will accept. The project doesn't need to be responsive at this point.

The first animation I am trying to do is a boat in rough water. The voice over talks about being at sea without a sail. I would like to "build" a sail by putting together three images, then the water will calm.

I didn't think it would be a difficult thing to do - but 5 hours later I still don't have the easiest way to get this done.

Again - thanks for any help!
