This would be usefull, however I don't want the TOC on screen! I cannot see any way to remove it.

    Cheers.

    Hi again

In that case you may wish to "roll your own menu". You could do this by creating a simple Captivate project that does nothing more than have a couple of buttons that open the other projects. Then make this the project that automatically runs when the CD is inserted.

    Hi there

Not sure what you mean by "best way".

    • Dragging and dropping?
    • Using something like Nero?
    • The command prompt?

Perhaps you maybe meant to ask what the best output format to use would be?

If that's the case, I might suggest the .EXE format. If you use the .SWF/.HTM output you will face security issues unless you also include a small Web Server on the CD.

    Hi.

    Thanks for the reply!

I need to post many copies of my projects to different people to use the training material I created.

The best way today is by CD.

I never created a CD with 2 captivate projects before.

How might I go about it - just burn the 2 separate files or is there a more professional way I can do it, perhaps with a menu that shows the 2 projects when the user plays the CD?

Cheers for the tip (I am a novice!)

    Tim

    Hi there

If you are using Captivate 4, you might experiment with a companion product included with Captivate. It's called the Aggregator. Basically you create an Aggregator project, then add each of the two different Captivate outputs to it. It will then provide a nice menu to use.

If you are using Captivate 3 or older, those shipped with another companion product called MenuBuilder. So if that's the case, I suggest exploring MenuBuilder.

With either product, you begin by clicking File > New/Record/Create and choosing Aggregator Project or MenuBuilder Project.

    Cheers... Rick
