Blinking Slides

When my slides first show-- the slide background shows on screen first,  then very quickly  my video or photo shows up. This creates a very short "Blink" or "flash" at the beginning of many of my slides and is distracting.

How can I prevent this "Blink" ?

Have you tried adding a fade in transition to your objects?  That softens their entrance.

‌I have but the problem is the background of the slide shows -- then the video shows causing a blink.

I think I may have heard about this issue before and it was connected with the objects NOT actually starting at the very first frame of the slide timeline.  Stretch your timeline out using the Change Zoom slider control at the bottom of the timeline and make sure that your objects DO actually start right from the beginning.  It might look like they do when the slider is set to see more of the timeline.
