Blur Effect??

I have a screenshot of some text I'm trying to blur on a few slides. I've looked all over and I've found some workarounds for this, but the last version I've found that talks about blurring an image is 5.5.  I'm on Captivate 2017. I see information about adding an effect to an object and then just using a blur filter. I literally can't find this anywhere in 2017. Is this even still there? Seems like it should be an easy thing to do. And I know I could take my image into SnagIt or something and blur it then just re-add it to Captivate, but if there is a blur effect then I'll just use that. Thanks!

Yes, effect is still there but it is not supported for HTML5 output. That is the reason why you don't see it i the categories in the Timing Properties panel. Blur effect can be found in Gallery\Other Effects\Color Effect category. That category is not OK for HTML5.

OK. Are there any other options for doing something like this that won't affect HTML5 output at all? Any suggestions?

I would edit with Photoshop. You could also try to cover with a semi-transparent shape?
