I just finished building a small project in Cap 9.  I built a sort of TOC slide that gives the learners the ability to click on a picture/click box and that takes them to another slide to watch a video.  After the video, it takes them back to the TOC screen where there is an image of a check mark showing complete.  It also disables the click box that they initially clicked on.  My problem is if I exit them module and get back in, it does bookmark, however the check mark image goes away and the box is clickable again.  Is there a way to have the image stay on the screen once the learner comes back in, or is this the way it is?  Thanks!

Is your output HTML5 or SWF?

It's going to be HTML5....unless you say it will only work with SWF lol

You're in luck.  There's a new widget called CpExtra that allows you to persist data from module to module in HTML5.

Check it out here: Introduction to CpExtra | Infosemantics Pty Ltd

The video shows a simple menu page that remembers the completion status of three other modules.
