Branch Aware in CP 2019 allows quiz scoring based off questions in a branch that users have viewed, as opposed to the total amount of questions that are present in a project. Unfortunately, this feature seems to be missing in new Captivate. I have already posted a feature request in the UserVoice forum. But, I would also like to have any suggestions on alternative ways to achieve branch awareness in new Captivate.
I am sorry, but I cannot offer you a workaround. Question pools are also no longer available, as are Shared and Advanced actions.
The only way which could offer an alternative will be using JavaScript. All the quizzing system variables are still available (most of the other categories are lost), which is a good sign. I used CpExtra widget from InfoSemantics to create dynamic system variables (which is what Branch aware did as well) but that widget is not compatible with the new version. That is for me also a big loss, reason why I mostly keep to CP2019.
