Hi everybody,

within one project i would like to show users three different way "how to this and that". They will need to click whether they want to know first way or second etc. I use insert mouse function to navigate them through this scenario. Is there any way how to branched mouse movements? Or is there any way how to stop linking mouse movements from one slide to another?

thanks

    Hello,

Perhaps Rod answered your question, but I did not understand really your explanation and did not answer for that reason. If Rod's answer is what you wanted, great! If not, please try to explain more in detail, perhaps with an inserted image, what you want to know?

You can use interactive objects in Captivate to build branching.  These objects are clickboxes, buttons, and interactive widgets.

So you could set up a number of buttons on a slide, and set each button to jump to a different slide in the movie where a particular method of doing something is explained.

If you want to users to click on images or animations to trigger the branching action, you can place clickboxes over the images or use the Event Handler interactive widget (http://www.infosemantics.com.au/catalog/widgets/interactive/wdgt_event_handler_01) to convert any image, text caption, or animation into a clickable object.  Also, with the event handler widget, you are not limited to click actions, but can also trigger branching on simple mouse rollovers or rollouts as well.
