Bullet Converts to Diamond

My bullets seem to randomly change to diamonds at some times and at others remain round. I am using the same font and transparent caption with each.

    Do the bullets display as diamonds in the published movie or only within Captivate itself?

    In Captivate I notice that a slide's bullets sometimes appear to be diamonds and at other times are circles. When I look at a bullet at a zoom of 400 sometimes it is rendered with many points on the periphery (circle) and at other times with only four points (diamond).

    When I publish the bullets appear to be round so I've started ignoring the shape differences. I can't figure out what causes the displayed shape to change.
