Bulleted lists with custom bullet or hanging indent

Is it possible to make a bulleted list in Captivate 5.5 with the bullet being a square instead of the usual round bullet? If not, I could insert a special character at the beginning of the text. If I insert a special character, I would want the bulleted list to have a hanging indent (no indent on first line; all other lines of text left aligned to first text character, not bullet character. However, I don't see a way to do a hanging indent in Captivate.

You are correct.  There is no way to really achieve hanging indents in Captivate in the same way you can with other Office programs.  The formatting options for text in Captivate are still quite limited.

Your best workaround is to hard-code the line breaks and use spaces or indentation to add the effect of hanging indents.

If you feel this level of formatting is something you would like to see in Captivate, then you should log a Feature Request for this using the form at this link: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform&product=5

The more people that add their voice this way, the more likely Adobe will listen and build it in.

Hi Jay

Try clicking File > Export > Project Captions and Closed Captions. This will export a Word document. Choose to view the document after the xport completes. Then change things in the document. Save it and click Flie > Import > Project Captions and Closed Captions.

Seemed to work on my end. Of course your mileage may vary.

Cheers... Rick
