Button will not launch website in html mode but works in .exe mode

Hi,

(Running Adobe Captivate 3)
I have e-learning content that I'm creating and I'd like to launch a website through a button on this presentation. I have inserted the button and have gone into the options to "open file or url" and I also set option to open in "new window."

1) When I export to .exe the button works just fine and the website will open as its suppose to.
2) When I export to .html, and open it on a web browser, the button does not open a new website. (Using IE7)

Does anyone happen to have a solution to this? This does seem like a simple problem and hopefully with a simple answer.

Thanks

Danny

Hi Danny

When you are running your Captivate as a .SWF, are you running it from your local desktop? Moreover, when you run your Captivate, do you encounter a Flash warning dialog?

Either way, see if the link below helps anything.

Hey Rick,

(Yes, I was running it from my C: drive)
I recollect hunting the forum and I saw this solution before. However, I don't see a warning as you mentioned about the flash content, but I remember that there is a link or something you can go to that will take you to those settings.

But regardless, I just uploaded the content to a SharePoint Server and it looks like that solved the problem, the buttons work now when I run the html. Thanks a bunch!
