Buttons and boxes

Ok, I have an elearning session I have developed in Captivate 3. In a couple of sections, I have a text box for users to type answers. Once they have answered, they click a 'reveal' button and the selection of answers appear in the pop-up box. But I am unable to control the length of time this pop-up box is visible. So if the user has read it and wants to click the continue button, they end up on the next screen, but with the old pop-up box still visible for a few seconds.

Even if I change the timescale, it still ends up staying on the screen.

Is there any way to force the pop-up box to close as the user moves on to the next screen?

Thanks in advance.

    Thanks Rick

I am using the 'success' caption as you say and I did have the 'Pause for success' disabled. But I've enabled them with the same result. The caption stays there for a number of seconds and seems to pay no attention to the user clicking the continue button?

    HI Billyb63

If you are doing this via a feedback caption. (A Success caption), try looking at the properties of the Text Entry box. In the properties, click the Options tab. I'm thinking you may have DE-selected the option labeled "Pause for success/failure captions".

With that option disabled, the next slide appears immediately and the caption is still visible on the screen. If you enable it, the next screen shouldn't appear until the caption disappears.

    Cheers... Rick
