Buying a tablet for Adobe Captivate drawing during presentation

Hello, we're looking into purchasing a tablet to draw and annotate on our powerpoint slides via Cp. Does anyone use a tablet PC instead of a drawing tablet for this?

Although most educators seem to be using a drawing tablet, we thought a tablet PC (or an iPad) would be a more versatile tool.
