Buying Captivate 8

Hello. We're currently working on a big e-learning project and have been developing all the lessons in Captivate 8.1. We need to bring in another person to work on the project, so went to buy another license for Captivate 8 however the Adobe website only seems to want to sell us the new Captivate 9. So we purchased that. And now when the new person on the project saves our Captivate files, it forces it to upgrade to Captivate 9 version, and none of us can open them in Captivate 8!

This is so frustrating. Either make it easy to purchase Captivate 8 or allow newer versions to save in a backward compatible format.

Please help.

There is no ability to save as to previous versions, but Adobe does allow you to run Captivate 8 with a Cp9 license.  You can search these forums to find download and registration information, or open a chat window with Adobe support to get this setup for the new user.

All users should have the latest updates applied, save files to a local drive then share them to a shared workspace as a separate step.
