Cache problems with Internet Explorer - SCORM modules loading at quiz

Hi, as mentioned in a previous thread I have created several SCORMS using Captivate 4 and are using Moodle to manage the learning. The SCORMS contain a presentation then a short multiple choice quiz. We are experiencing problems with SCORMS not opening at the first page, but rather around the quiz section.

Internet Explorer –
Scenario #1. If user launches a SCORM from Moodle for the first time the module will load from the beginning, the first slide (desired result).
Scenario #2. If a user launches a SCORM a subsequent time, having previously failed the quiz, the module will load at the beginning of the quiz (not desired result, but can live with it).
Scenario #3. If the user launches a module a subsequent time, having previously passed the quiz, the module will load at the results page and now shows a fail result (definitely not desired result).

Firefox –
The issue described above is not a factor. No matter the passed user grade the module will launch at the beginning, first slide, each time it is launched. But Firefox does not pass results to Moodle gradebook.

CP settings

Both the pass and fail settings in Captivate are set to 'Jump to' slide 1. The results are being passed to the gradebook no problem, but this is a problem in the third scenario if a user accidentally launches module after have successfully gained a pass. Has anyone come across this problem and been able to force the module to launch at the first page? Ideally don’t want to remind users to clear cache each time when using IE.

Any help appreciated!
thanks

    Hi,

It's not a cache issue - it's actually Captivate's buildt in "resume" function that does this.

You need to disable this "feature" in Captivate yourself. Go to the reporting settings in Captivate and click on LMS Customization Settings in the lower right corner. Then tick the "Never send Resume Data" box and republish your SCORM package.
