Can a slide advance automatically once audio is done?

Hi,

I'm creating a project from a 35-45 minute presentation that is normally done live. I am recording the audio and I want to know if it's possible to have the slides automatically advance once the audio portion for that slide is done, without having to hit "next". Since I want this to emulate a live presentation as much as possible, I don't know how the listener would know to go to the next slide without inserting some sort of bell or something.

It seems like there should be a setting that says "advance slide after audio" but if there is I can't find it.

    All depends on the type of audio you are using: slide audio, object audio or audio started with the 'Play Audio' command.

    If it is slide audio, and you don't have any pausing point on the slide (look for the pausing symbol in the timeline), when reaching the last frame of the slide the playhead will automatically go to the next slide.     This should actually happen automatically. In fact, the more common question is 'how do I stop a slide from automatically progressing'.

    Check your timeline. Something (i.e. a button or hotspot) is pausing the slide at the end,

    How is your Next button setup? One you placed on the slide itself or just on the playbar?

    If on the playbar, you can edit it ('Skins' panel) and remove the Next button entirely.

    I had a Start button on the first slide but I removed it. There are no buttons on the slides I've added audio to. The only things on the timeline are the slide and the .wav file.

    In that situation the playhead will move automatically to the next sldie. That audio timeline means that you are using slide audio. You could leave the button, but take out the pausing point using the Timing Properties.
