Can anyone share the resources required to learn Captivate for a beginner?

I am in the elearning industry, but have not used this tool so far. Want to learn it.

    see Paul Wilson adobe captivate tutorial videos on youtube. There are lot of resources available on youtube please check.

    You have to visit the eLearning portal: http://elearning.adobe.com You will find plenty of resources. Try to attend some webinars, or watch the recordings.  There are posts summarizing starting tutorials. My blog is mostly dedicated to more advanced topics, but I blogged about the 3 stumbling blocks that seem to be common for all newbies in Captivate. It is not a tutorial (although I use them as starting point for any basic and intermediate training). You can have a look:

    Videos will offer you some step-by-step workflows, but rarely in-depth understanding of the reasons for such a workflow. Bear in mind that good learning starts with exploring and finding your way of learning. Most efficient is to include several types of assets: reading, attending webinars or live training (better of course, but not always affordable), watching videos or better interactive movies like this one (may be too advanced) and most of all experimenting:
