Can Captivate use Stereo images for VR or just panoramic?

Terminology is always a big problem for me. So I consulted this article:

If I understand it well, Captivate supports 360 panoramic photo/videos, not the stereo 3D images, but I may underestimate Captivate. I use images and  videos taken with a Theta V camera (360° 4K); Personally I don't like the name 'VR project' neither (360 slides are OK) because this is not full Virtual Reality: interactivity is limited to hotspots,.  It is a start however, looking out for improvements.
