Question

Can Drag & Drop exist with 'regular' slide activity?

I'm wondering if the drag and drop activity has to be on its own slide or if it'll work on any slide. What I'm trying to do is have an intro text block with voiceover including an instruction that alerts user to D&D activity coming up. Text fades, and an image of a deck of cards comes up. When user clicks on that it 'deals out' 10 cards, which will be the drop zone for the draggable text labels which fade in at the bottom of the slide and match up with what's written on respective cards. I wanted an advanced action on the click of the deck, to open all 10 cards but in a staggered order as if 'being dealt' . . . but I'm assuming with the 'on click, show' concept will open all at the same time as all 10 card images are set to not be visible but are all in a list on the script. If those cards are part of a drag and drop event, will an effect even work on them?  I may be shooting for too complex . . . ! (It works great in my head though).

Hmm, I'm having to answer my own question again . . . but yea to AI! Thank you Copilot! (They need to embed AI in the community support forums. Here is what it answered for me in regards to my last question above . . . although knowing that it can be wrong and have some hallucinations, should any other experts out there disagree with this, or have some additional advice to assist my work, I'm totally open to reading such.):
    Copilot's response:
    Object Effects and Timing:

    • Alas, not all cosmic forces align. Object effects (like glittery sparkles or cosmic explosions) don’t play nice in drag-and-drop interactions. [me: this is what I wanted to do but was struggling to figure how it might work as the effects were timeline-based and the TL sort of pauses during a D&D event, from what I understand] And objects set with “Rest Of Project” timing? They’re off the guest list. [me: this was helpful too]
    • But fear not! Smart shapes still act as cosmic buttons, and rollover objects keep their mystique.

      I'm figuring out the rest . . .
