Question

Can end-users review quizes without submitting?

Hi,

I just got Captivate2 for a project to place quizes on a website.

I am finding that while developing some practice quizes that when I use the SKIP option to just review the test questions in when I publish or preview and go to the end of the quiz , when I go back to answer the questions it is as though I have submitted the wrong answers for the quiz.

I have tried an number of things to remedy this. One is not to use the scoring option. However, I need that in this test.
So the question is this.

s there a way to create a quiz so it will be scored, but will allow the end-user to review all of the quiz questions without any risk of them inadvertanly answering the quiz questions?

Thanks

Jim Rich

    Hi Jim

Quizzes aren't intended to be used in this manner. The questions are intended to be answered at the time they are viewed. As you have seen, clicking Skip is the same as not answering the question and it does affect the score. The skip is really intended for use only during the review process.

The only way I could fathom this working in the manner you are talking about would be to probably grab an image of your questions and stash them on slides that would be used for a preview of what is about to be asked. This way, no scoring would be involved. Then when they were ready for the real deal, they would branch to the actual question slides.

    Hope this helps... Rick
