Question

Can I add a scroll bar to slides with lots of text?

Hi,

I'm currently moving an html-based training course over to Captivate. Some of the html pages are fairly long and would love to turn each page into one slide. In html, of course, you can just scroll down to see all the text. Is there a way to add a scroll bar longer text in Captivate?

If not, what's the next best thing to do in a situation like this?

Thanks,

Bob

    Thanks Rick,

I think I have that. I'll give it a try.

But besides that, how do people use Captivate when they have a lot of content to get across, or even a larger image? Could I just make my Captivate file really long (say, 800x3000) and put the controls at the top so that when there's a lot of content to be read the user would just scroll down the Web page it's on? Is that crazy?

Or should I just try to break everything up into smaller chunks that'll fit on a slide?

    Thanks,

    Bob

    Hi Bob

One possibility is to use a product called "FlashPaper". http://www.adobe.com/products/flashpaper

I'm not sure how well it may work with Captivate. I do recall that back when Macromedia had the product, you had issues with inserting more than a single FlashPaper file into Captivate.

But it may be worth a look.

    Cheers... Rick
