Is there a way to associate a right-click action with a text entry button? I tried to do a shift-F10 (windows equivalent) but it wasn't recognized. I suspect it is not possible, but thought I would ask.

    Hi Sarah

I'm a bit confused. What does Right-Clicking have to do with Shift+F10 and a Text Entry Button? (I'm assuming you are meaning that you have enabled the Button option for a Text Entry Box object?)

Normally buttons are simply clicked. I can't say I've ever seen a button that one has to right-click to make it work.

Can you please try explaining what it is you are trying to do using different terms?

    Thanks... Rick

Sure... here goes... I am trying to simulate a user application, I am using Captivate to create the simulation. In the application that I am simulating, the user enters some text and then right-clicks to perform an action (a sub-menu pops up). I tried assigning a shortcut to the text-entry box button, one of the things that I tried was using Shift+F10, because in Windows, Shift+F10 = right-click. It did not work in Captivate. The Shift+F10 exercise is extraneous information...my bad. I want to find a way to perform a right-click in my simulation, if possible.

Ahhhh, the fog is lifting now!

Thanks for fleshing that out a bit. There are a few different ways to handle right-click in Captivate. See the links below for more.
