Question

Can I better control the size/position of the closed caption display box in V10?

I recently upgraded to Adobe Captivate 2017 by default; I was sent a new work computer with V10 installed. In version 9 I was able to display a full CC box across the bottom of the slide from side to side without worrying about it covering over my table of contents. In V10, it seems I'm very limited to the size and placement of the box based on the x, y, w and h settings. If I set the x% so the text box does not cover over my tables of contents, then I can't extend the width of it to cover the entire screen shot. This makes the CC text box look like a mistake, or an afterthought, since it appears to be 'randomly' placed on the screen.

CC box used to automatically start at the edge of the 'active' screen, not over the TOC.

I think you should report this to Adobe as a bug.

    Just out of interest:

Was this project upgraded to Cp 2107 from Cp9 or earlier?

What happens if you change the Theme from the one you are using to a different Theme from Cp 2017?

What happens if you change the skin to one that came from Cp 2017?

(I'm wondering if this issue is just related to the Theme.)

I have also noticed some issues with the new CC options in Cp 2017.  But I have managed to work around most of them.

Can you please display a screenshot showing the particular issue you have?
