Can I change the appearance of the digital timer widget in CP8?

When I first started testing CP8, I was CERTAIN I discovered a way to change the appearance of the digital timer (from a blue digital clock to a simpler style).

Was I dreaming? Or can I do this? I now can't find any way to change the style.

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    I have never known of a way to customize nor the digital timer, nor the hourglass interaction. The former timer widget (for SWF output) had more customisation options.

    Thanks, Lilybiri. I must be losing my mind. I could've sworn I was able to put a simple timer with just numbers on a transparent background. But I've searched online and see that this is a common complaint about the widget.

    Oh well... onward!
