Question

Can I delete the .tmp files?

In "My Adobe Captivate Projects" folder I have noticed a large number of .tmp files. Is it safe to delete these? They are not in a specific project folder and some are very large.

I have about 22 projects and about 15 .tmp files. Example names are Ado1AC.tmp; ADo1AF.tmp; Ado51D.tmp.

Any ideas?

I have the same thing happening, and I wonder if it's normal for these files to be generated, and just exactly what are they? I have been having lots of memory management issues (huge files), and wonder if somehow it's related. Thanks for any information.

Does Captivate automatically generate these .tmp files? I have never seen them on my computer.

They should be safe to delete. However, it's worth noting that under certain circumstances, Captivate projects sometimes perform a disappearing act. And often, you may simply rename the ADO??.TMP to ProjectName.CP and you can be back in business.
