Can I download Captivate to a new computer?

I have purchased Captivate 8.  I bought a new computer recently.  Is it possible to download it to my new computer?  My old computer's memory and storage are too small for it to work well on.

    Patrick,

    I'm just another user, like you, but I'll try to give you some guidance.

    If you have purchased a license for Cp8, you should be able to download the installer, and register using your license key.

    You may need to release the license from your OLD computer before it will work, if the installer stalls, it will tell you something along the lines of "this license is in use on too many machines."

    If you don't get that message, update to the latest version, enable backups, setup the preferences, templates, working file and cache locations based on messages posted in these forums. Then, test one of your existing files on the new workstation. Create modified versions of your Cp files, test and publish. Publish local, to a webserver, to an LMS. Make sure you have a workable system.

    Only then be sure and release the old machine's license for ALL ADOBE software. This will prevent licensing issues when you upgrade hardware again.
