Question

Can I have questions in a project in each lesson and not contribute to scoring

Let me clarify further. Can I have a queston or two at the end of every lesson but not have it tracked in the scoring and then at the end of the course offer a quiz that does score. AND I want the questions at the end of every lesson to also give feedback on if they got it right or wrong. Right now it seems I have to change to survey to not count them but then I can't give the feedback it seems because when I answer and submit it just goes to the next slide.

    Hello,

On the forum you could find a lot of threads about similar questions, but I understand it is not always easy to find them. Since it is about scoring, you could better have posted this in the Quizzing/LMS forums.

You have to be aware that each Captivate file can only have one Quiz, and once you entered the Quiz scope, which starts with the first scored object and ends with the score slide (or with the last scored object if you do not want a score slide), you'll not be able to get out of it before ending the Quiz. If using the default question slides, even if you do not attach a score to them, those will be considered as within the Quiz scope.

So I already gave you the first possible solution to keep feedback captions for the questions that do not have to be scored: just put the score to 0 points. But you will have to live with that 'scope'.

Second solution that I personally prefer is not to use default question slides for the questions that are not to be scored, but to construct those questions using standard objects from Captivate. It needs more work, but you get more control (I'm a control freak) and you do not have to worry about the quiz scope. The 'real' scored quiz can be done with default question slides. If you want to try that solution, let me know, I'll give you the link to some blog postings and articles I did write about constructing your own question slides.
