Can i record only a part of a captivate video i messed up on and insert another video i made in captivate?

so I made a training video where I record a software simulation but at the end I messed up like and I wanted to create another cpaitvate video to replace the end of the one I messed up on....

is this possible? if so, how?

    If you have recorded a Software Simulation project you can just record the replacement elements, copy and paste them into your original project.

     

    You can  "splice" together to Video Demo projects by inserting each CPVC as a slide in a regular Captivate project.

    Possible yes.  But whether the spot where you spliced in the replacement footage is very noticeable or not depends on how well you can replicate the exact positioning of the original capture window on the software.

    How do I go about slicing in the footage... its actually be demoing how to do something within the web browser so it shouldn be too hard; even it’s a bit noticeable it’s fine

    to elaborate- the issue is when I open the main captivate file, I figure I would go to add media but I can’t select video, it’s grayed out
